- Abstract:
- The effect of temperature from 32 to 400 F on erosion resistance was
studied on lead, tantalum, tungsten, 2024, Ti-6Al-4V, and type 410 as a
function of sand particle angle of impact and velocity. In general the
erosion damage was dependent on angle of attack and the relationship of
the test temperature and the thermal properties of the
metal.
