Precision Glass Products Co. (PGPCo) specializes in the precision grinding and fabrication of semiconductor grade fused quartz, glass, silicon, ceramic, and other hard brittle materials to customer specifications. PGPCo has successfully machined silicon to complex shapes. Fused quartz components can be directly fused allowing the construction of shapes that could not be produced by machining alone. The chamber depicted was manufactured for NASA and used aboard the November 1997 space shuttle flight to observe dendritic growth in crystals.
