AAOC -- American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons provides education programs
for orthopaedic surgeons, allied health professionals and the public. The
Academy's continuing medical education programs include courses nationwide
on musculoskeltal problems and treatments, publications on a variety of
subjects, self-study programs on computers, self-assessment instruments, and
videotapes. The Academy's annual scientific meeting is the largest of its
kind in the world.
The Academy serves approximately 20,000 members internationally and is an
advocate for improved patient care. The AAOS helps increase the public's
awareness of musculoskeletal conditions through patient education brochures,
booklets, posters, newsletters and videotapes.
