The Engineering Workforce Commission is the research and publications branch of
the American Association of Engineering Societies. EWC conducts annual surveys of major companies and
educational institutions with engineering programs, monitors the supply of engineers, and produces annual
reports on engineering enrollments, degrees, and salaries. EWC also sells "Personal Salary Profiles" which
include specific data customized for engineers based on level of education, years of experience, and supervisory
status as well as the geographic region and industry.
