The Scottish Optoelectronics association is a trade association representing the Scottish optoelectronics community. It currently has over 85 members ranging from universities to SMEs to large international companies. The association was started in 1994 by Scottish Enterprise but has been run as a separate entity since 1997. We represent an industry with a turnover of approximately œ500 million employing over 3500 people. We also have a strength in research and education in optoelectronics and produce over 500 graduates in optoelectronics each year.
